Turing Data Study Group: Optimising the supply chain to minimise waste and delivery mileage

As part of a Data Study Group team I worked on optimising Morrisons Supermarkets supply chain to minimise waste. Specifically, I worked on predicting deliveries to stores such that the waste is minimized and the sales aren’t negatively impacted. I’ve used gradient-boosted trees models to help predict these deliveries. You can find the results of that work in Section 3.2 of the report.
